What A Roller Coaster Ride of a Game

The Bears, trailing most of the game, attempt a 4th and Goal and are held. The Falcons take the ball and do nothing. The Bears march down to field goal range and make it a 19-13 game. The Falcons take the ensuing kickoff to around the 20 and Jason Elam misses a chip shot field goal. The Bears take the ball down and score a TD with 11 seconds left. 20-19!!!! The fans think, game over. After a squib kick gets the Falcons at around their 40 yard line, they line up with 6 seconds left. Matt Ryan hits his receiver around the 28 where Mike Brown shoves him out of bounds with one second left. Jason Elam's long for the season is 45 yards. This is 48. What does he do? Hits it with a few yards to spare. Falcons win 22-20. What a stinking exciting game with a bad outcome for Bears fans. |
